Mitsubishi Upsizes LCD Displays

Introducing their largest LCD to date
SYDNEY 23 May, 2007 – Mitsubishi Electric Australia has today announced the release of the 42” LDT421V WXGA LCD display.
The new LCD has the largest display space of any of the Mitsubishi Electric screens and provides any shop or boardroom with a professional touch. Designed primarily for the display of video and messaging content, the screens are perfect for digital signage, message boards, video conferencing or retail kiosks.
The tile matrix capability allows the user to link up to 16 panels at one time to form a single configuration providing the opportunity to display images to scale. In large commercial spaces, this digital signage application delivers maximum impact.
The high contrast display incorporates motion shift and Gamma control; a screen protection feature which moves the images minutely in different directions to stop the image retention (burn-in) which can occur after extended use. The panel also features a cooling fan and brightness controls to help protect the life of the screen.
The LDT421V display has a contrast ratio of 1500:1 and a brightness level of 500 cd/m² to create a picture with incredible visual detail.
“Due to its great impact and professional look, digital signage is being used in more areas to help companies stand out from the competition. Trade shows in particular are seeing an increase in the number of stands making use of the eye-catching displays. Important reasons for choosing to go with digital signage are the ability to change the screens messaging at short notice and the impact of linking the screens together to create a gigantic image, delivering maximum impact”, said Paul Calderara, Mitsubishi Electric Australia Digital Electronics General Manager. “The LDT421V expands the current range to three models with even larger sizes to be released soon. The entire LDT range is extremely cost effective while providing the highest level of product quality” he said.
The LDT421V comes with Picture in Picture (PIP) technology, allowing two images to run on one screen simultaneously. The display also has a rapid response time of 8 milliseconds ensuring fast moving pictures are free from ghosting.
To help preserve the life span of the panels the LDT421V detects when an input signal is no longer active and will automatically switch to power save mode to help protect the display. It also has a built in scheduling facility, which allows the user to set automatic times for the display to switch on and off. This way the model is working for the hours you want, while conserving the lifespan for the remainder of the time.
Mitsubishi Electric two-year limited onsite warranty is included with purchase.
Optional speakers are available for this model – Part No: SP-421V

BenQ’s Astounding Multimedia MP510 Projector - Ideal Projector for Businesses, Consumers & Education

The projector is suitable for any use whether it be in an office, classroom, a lounge room watching movies or playing PC games, the MP510 will deliver excellent results at a fraction of the cost you would expect to pay. The MP510 DLP projector has a 800 x 600 SVGA native resolution, a high contrast ratio of 2000:1 and is bright with 1500 ANSI lumens.
If you’re used to listening to noisy fans in projectors, you’ll love the MP510 with only 22dB of noise, all you will hear is the voice of the Presenter or the movie you are watching. Lamp life is no problem with this new MP510 projector as it gives you up to 3000 hours in economy mode.
Managing the time you or your family spends using your projector is child’s play with the Presentation Timer, it allows you to set a limit on the time you spend on your projector. BenQ’s MP510 comes with a new feature, “Wall Colour Correction”. This feature is perfect for schools or homes that don’t have pure white walls or projector screens. If you are using your projector on a blackboard, the projector can compensate the colour output to produce more accurate image results. Philip Newton, Vice President of Asia Pacific said “The MP510 is a revolutionary product providing both Consumers and Business Customers with truly affordable big screen viewing at unheard of price points.
Once again BenQ has managed to break new ground in the CE / AV space.” This multimedia projector also comes with a Resolution Reminder function, Quick Cooling function, Power Saving “Auto Off” and Auto Adjustment for added convenience.

Projection Design launches new models at ISE

Projectiondesign is launching the new F30 and F20 series projectors at Integrated Systems Europe, Amsterdam in February 2007.
These single-chip projectors produce unmatched image quality using a combination of proprietary technologies matched with Texas Instruments SXGA+ resolution DLP and BrilliantColor technologies. BrilliantColor technology ensures stronger, more saturated colours, enhanced image gradation and tonality.
Projectiondesign's own unique RealColor technology performs a calibration process that guarantees a desired colour and white balance as well as grey scale tracking. The combination of these technologies ensures seamless matching of images and is featured in the new F30 and F20 projectors to be launched at ISE.
The new F30 delivers ultra-high quality resolution (1,400 x 1,050) and is available with three different colour wheel options for diverse applications, and with different technical requirements such as visualisation, simulation, auditorium use, and general graphics display.
Available with a range of six user replaceable lenses, the F30 produces very bright images (up to 6,500 ANSI lumens) with a high contrast ratio of up to 7,500:1. Utilising projectiondesign's DualArchTM technology, with two lamps, dual colour wheels and dual light formatters it achieves the optimal combination of brightness, resolution, contrast and colour for the big screen, and with an unmatched configurability for different applications.
The compact F20 is smallest projector in the projectiondesign range and is packed with performance features. High resolution images at 1,400 x 1,050 pixels are produced with a brightness of up to 3,300 ANSI lumens.
Three ultra-high quality projection lenses are available including a 0.8:1 wide angle lens with both pincushion/barrel adjustment, as well as focus lock. Designed for space-limited applications and portability, the projector weighs less than 3 kilos (including lens) and is the size of an A4 sheet of paper. Its proprietary optical design allows it to be operated vertically for portrait projection as well as normal horizontal operation.
For small and large theatres wanting to screen images in High Definition (HD) as well as for HD film grading and post-production work, projectiondesign will showcase a further two new F series projectors based on the F3-platform and F1-platform. These will be shown alongside the existing product range including the Cineo e-cinema series, evo business series and Action! home cinema series.
